EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD:

Throughout the past years I have had the opportunity to help in public and urban elementary schools. Helping out in these schools helped me gain experience in diverse classroom settings. These experiences helped me learn the things I need to take into account when I become a teacher such as a students background, culture, skills/knowledge and learning style. Not only did I learn about the needs of the student but I learned the importance of a variety of different materials. In the future I plan on using a variety of different resources such as technology, group discussions, hands on activities etc. In conclusion, having the opportunities to observe and help in different classrooms has helped me begin to plan my future as a teacher.
